SpeedBox App
If you update the software of your e-bike, first uninstall the SpeedBox from the e-bike, update the software, reinstall the SpeedBox in the e-bike.
3rd generation smarter product with the possibility to set the speed limit of the e-bike.
With the SpeedBox 3.0 you can freely adjust the speed limiter of the e-bike. After installing the product, real data such as top speed, average speed, daily distance and range will be shown on the e-bike display.
How does SpeedBox 3.0 work?
You activate the SpeedBox 3.0 chip on the e-bike display. After briefly activating the WALK function, the display briefly shows 9.9 km/h (6.2 mph) after a few seconds and from then on you can drive at unlimited speed.
To disable the chip function, enable the WALK function again to cancel the chip function. The display shows 2.5 km/h and the speed limit of 25 km/h is switched on again. The pedelec then works as it did before the chip was installed.
We thought of e-bikes that don't have a classic control panel with a walk function. In this case, simply use the key combination + - + -. Then the SpeedBox is activated. You can also simply deactivate the SpeedBox.
To set the maximum speed, change the mode: Turbo - EMTB - Tour - Eco - Tour - EMTB - Turbo. The current speed limit is then displayed. To change the maximum speed, briefly press the WALK function or rotate the rear wheel 360°. The indicated speed of 1.5 km/h corresponds to a maximum speed of 15 km/h, 2.0 corresponds to a maximum speed of 20 km/h, 2.5 corresponds to a maximum speed of 25 km/h, 3.0 corresponds to a maximum speed of 30 km/h, 9.9 corresponds to a maximum speed of 99 km/h. The last displayed limit is saved after five seconds of inactivity.
When using the SpeedBox 3.0 in 4th generation Bosch motors (from year of manufacture 2020), the e-bike must remain switched on after the end of the ride until the display shows a constant speed of 0.0 km / h. During this phase, the display shows the remaining time (in minutes). Then you can park the bike safely and look forward to the next ride.
