If you update the software of your e-bike, first uninstall the SpeedBox from the e-bike, update the software, reinstall the SpeedBox in the e-bike.
Basic tuning chip for your Bafang e-bike.
With SpeedBox 1.2 you can double the speed limit of an e-bike from originally 25 km/h to 50 km/h. After installing the chip, real data up to 23 km/h is shown on the e-bike display.
How does the SpeedBox 1.2 work?
You activate the SpeedBox 1.2 chip on the pedelec control panel. After pressing the LIGHT button, the active light symbol appears briefly on the display and you can now drive at 50 km/h. Press the LIGHT button again to turn off the chip function.
SpeedBox App for SpeedBox 1.2 B.Tuning
The SpeedBox app specially developed for SpeedBox 1.2 B.Tuning uses Bluetooth technology to connect your e-bike to your smartphone. After downloading the app and pairing the smartphone with the e-bike, you can see the current data and riding parameters on the smartphone display. You can save individual trips, compare with friends and track your own performance. So you can enjoy the ride to the fullest and leave the parameter check for later.

SpeedBox B.Tuning is not required to use the SpeedBox App. However, it's a great accessory that gives you a complete view of your performance.
Download the SpeedBox app to your smartphone before ordering the SpeedBox 1.2 B.Tuning chip. Try the demo version, get to know all the functions and at the same time make sure that the APP is fully functional on your smartphone. To connect to the SpeedBox B.Tuning chip, your phone must have Bluetooth 4.0 or higher.
Assembly
Anyone can do the fitting of a chip in an e-bike with simple tools! We've written detailed instructions and created videos so you can install it from the comfort of your own home. Removing the tuning chip is as easy as installing it. If you have some assembly problems, don't hesitate to contact us.
If you want to install a SpeedBox on a brand new bike, you need to ride that bike at least 1km before you start the chip for the first time.
