If you update the software of your e-bike, first uninstall the SpeedBox from the e-bike, update the software, reinstall the SpeedBox in the e-bike.
Basic tuning chip for your Shimano e-bike.
With SpeedBox 1.0 you can deactivate the e-bike speed limiter. During use, your display shows a real speed of up to 22 km/h, then the speedometer is fixed and shows the same value even at higher speeds.
How does SpeedBox 1.0 work?
If you don't have a light on your bike, SpeedBox 1.0 for Shimano is always switched on. Once you have the lights, you can turn on your tuning chip whenever you like. You activate the SpeedBox 1.0 chip on the control panel of the e-bike. When the lights are off, SpeedBox is activated. You turn off the chip function by activating the lights.
Assembly
To connect the SpeedBox chip to an e-bike we use colored connectors equipped with a key for correct connection, so installing the chip is really easy. We have written detailed instructions and made videos that any customer can use to install the SpeedBox. Removing the tuning chip is as easy as installing it. If you have some connection problems, please don't hesitate to contact us.
If you want to install a SpeedBox on a brand new bike, you need to ride that bike at least 1km before you start the chip for the first time.
